Deflektr™ Hybrid Shell

I bought this this spring. I have been out in the rain in it several times, usually light rains. I was traveling recently and caught a long way from anywhere with a storm rolling in. I spent an hour walking through a serious storm with no where to shelter. This kept me completely dry from head to waste, aside from wind-driven rain in my face. ...

I ski patrol in the Southeast so we get it all - rain - very cold - wind - snow - sleet. Needed a shell for all conditions. This it it! - The fit is great as with all Kuhl clothing (I am 5'9" 155 - which is a small although I am a M in some other brands) - Excellent fit and articulation which really helps when working in the mountain condition...

I replaced a North Face waterproof shell with the KUHL Deflectr Hybrid Shell. The KUHL shell has much better design attributes that keep me drier than the NF. The Deflectr has multiple points to effectively close off the hood opening to wind driven rain. Better length that covers the upper thighs. I tested the Deflectr in wind driven rain cond...

I bought the Deflektr Hybrid Shell as my new work rain coat and the rain season is kicking off in Oklahoma. It arrived yesterday JUST in time for the massive downpour to start my work day. I’M STILL DRY 5 HOURS LATER. Lightweight, breathable, adjustable hood tightness, WATERPROOF. The smile says it all. Thanks Kuhl!

The best over all layer. When I have to work out side in the drizzle is the perfect barrier to stay dry.

Love this jacket! Its my go to for more extreme conditions like snow sports, mountaineering or rough inclimate weather. Only needed a layer or two most times but works very well as a shell and insulating your layers. The fit is true to size and is good enough for 3 layers (thickness depending). I prefer this over gore-tex or Arcteryx based on ...

Everything I expected and more. Great fit, great stretch, great waterproofing.

Great fit and great performance make this my number one ski jacket . Comfortable with pockets and adjustments in all the right places. I ski a lot and this jacket fits all conditions. Cold, layer up underneath, spring, just a light fleece will do. Dumping, thats the best time with the hood up and the weather locked out! Such a clean looking ja...

I have been using the jacket for mostly Mountain Biking and trail work. It is extremely comfortable and fits great for my size 5’10” 200lbs. With room for base layers if needed. I especially like the hood brims ability to be molded to my needs.

Water proof. Comfortable to wear in an urban environment . Clean profile. Folds up and packs well. Only downside, the hood hides too much.
