Fantastic jacket
I bought this in black for a trip to London, mainly because of the waxed fabric. I had purchased a Barbour waxed cotton coat but I needed something with more breathability. I want warmth when necessary but I also want to be comfortable while indoors. This jacket was perfect. I wore it all over London; to soccer games, to museums, while shopping, and on walking tours. I was warm and dry (it rains there frequently) and felt stylish. The jacket looked good with leggings, with jeans, and with the one dressy outfit I brought. The only concern I had was the inability to layer as I've done with other coats in the past. This jacket is nicely fitted so I could only wear thinner tops underneath - and it was freezing! Literally 30 degrees at times. My packable down jacket was too bulky to wear as a layer, as was my thick cable knit sweater. I had packed a few thin, very warm items - a smartwool base layer, a smartwool turtleneck and a fleece vest that, wearing all three together, did fit comfortably under the jacket. I was extremely worried about the soccer games because we were going to be outside the whole time in the cold and wind - and sometimes rain - but with those three thin layers plus a scarf, I was absolutely fine. My head, hands and feet were like ice, but my torso was well protected. Had I known the weather would be THAT cold and wintry, I probably would have sized up so I could add thicker layers, but as things went I was astounded and thrilled at the performance of this jacket.

I’m 5’5 and 150 pounds. I purchased a Medium and it fits well with a thin sweater. Arm length and movement is good. Would get a large if wearing bulkier sweaters.

I really wanted a winter jacket that wasn't a puffy jacket that would go over my rear but not be long, and this fit the bill. I would say that this brand runs a little bit small. I typically wear a medium but I did order large but I also wanted the option of wearing a sweater or wool underneath. Glad I did get a large!

My new favorite jacket. Nice to have when the temps drop into low teens. Big enough to wear sweater underneath and layer. Looks great. Could wear snowshoeing, skiing without an issue, I just haven’t yet. I’m 5’4’’ 130 and medium size was great for the layering. Could go smaller if you don’t need that.
