Kuhl cabo shorts
I recently ordered two pairs of the Cabo Shorts for full price on the Kuhl site and two pairs that were discounted on another site. This should tell other customers that at least this one customer really likes these shorts. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but worth it in my view since I plan to wear them all summer. The light colors (birch, ash, desert sage, thistle) are all subtle enough to go with almost any tops. The most important info to share, however, is the fit. Finally, I found the best fitting light weight summer shorts with a true medium rise (and inch or so below the belly button which is the most comfortable), a bit, but not too much stretch combined with a flattering 6" inseam. Plus the high quality material is easy to watch in cold water and let dry naturally and doesn't feel hot especially on scorcher days. I am 5'8" and weigh 160 pounds. The 14 fits the best in terms of sizing for this style. As a comparison, I tried one pair of the Splash 5.5" shorts in a size 14, but they were too tight around the hip/sides so they're going back.

Comfy and fits well
The right length, the right kind of fabric for summer and very comfortable. (I could do without the inner drawstring, but that's me.) The button is in exactly the correct place for the zipper, which means it's in the right place for my waist. Highly recommended.

Comfy and somewhat dressy
There are very comfy but look reasonably dressy and are long enough to be appropriate at work events. They are my new, go-to "nice" shorts.

I tried these because the Trekker shorts apparently are being discontinued. I actually like the Cabo better. I usually order a zero. I ordered a zero here and they fit great. They stretch a little bit and are very comfortable. They wash and dry well also. I am 5 foot 1/2 inches tall and weigh 106 pounds.
